Well since I could not drive anywhere this morning due to the heavy snowfall and wind I figured it would be a good opportunity to clean the studio downstairs. Brief history of the space, it used to be my studio before I established the group studio. Over the last year it has operated as a place to make my glazes and put stuff. But as the new studio has gained popularity I have increasing need for a place to privately develop new ideas or just be able to pop in and throw something without driving to the group studio. It will also be a place for me to make glazes.

I took these after spending an hour going over things....yes it was even worse. But it got better. After a walk and sled to the village with the family.
We ended up at our local coffee shop
Isabele's. It was warm and cozy and we had a couple of Chai's and a steamer for the little guy. We met some new folks that just moved here from Olympia WA. They have a 4 year old and a 9 month old. Lopez could use more young families so we were super happy to meet them. I liked the lamp they had on our table.

Little kitty do not eat the little birdie! |
Well.....delay as I tried......eventually I had to get back to the studio and finish what I started. I turned on some Tom Waits and it was like he was really there giving me encouraging words to help me finish my work! Thanks Tom!

So organized! |
And as a bonus for all my hard work I found an old wood fired cup from a firing a couple years ago that had somehow got shuffled into a group of seconds. Sweet!

Liner glaze is Cornwall stone |
I also got a batch of glaze made up that was running low from the studio and it was much easier in a clean studio. I hope the roads are more drivable tomorrow.
WoW! You really tidied up your workspace....
