We finally got a new camera for the business! To celebrate the fact a real photographer came by today and did a photo shoot. Actually these two things had nothing but coincidence in common.
We bought a Canon G15 and so far are pleased with the purchase. My friend Adam, who stopped by with his professional camera gave me some tips on using the aperture settings to take better portrait photos. Basic camera stuff that I know nothing about.
So far I have found the G15 to be a great camera for point and shoot as well as taking ETSY pictures. Soon I will put it to the test of taking documentary photos of my work. A few weeks ago I took a class from Deb Schwartzkopf on taking better pictures of pottery. It was a great class and I am anxious to get going on her tips! I will also be posting more blogs now that I have a decent small camera to take pictures with.
Here is Adam Nash a fabulous photographer, among other things. But don't take my word for it. Check out his web site.
Using the miniaturization setting which simply blurs the background a bit.
