Busy bee

Sometimes I do not know where to start with my thoughts.....perhaps it's that there is a whirlwind of things going on or perhaps I'm just not very good at it.....or both.

The studio has been very busy lately. The kiln is firing three times a week. I guess I should say kilns.....now that we have two electric kilns I can dedicate a kiln to bisque or glaze ahead of time and just load it as material comes out of the studio. Amen! It makes my life easier.

Work on the outdoor soda kiln has begun! I say amen again! Its a 20 cubic foot cross draft, downdraft kiln designed by Vince Pitelka from Appalachian Center for Craft at Tennessee Tech University. Wonderful guy who answers emails and gives you a set of flushed out plans for the job.

Between the maiolica with Stephen Carter Andy own work I could post a hundred current pictures...... But here is a tidbit of work I thought I would share. It's a lidded jar.
